WELL-BEING AT ESKDALE
Ms. Killeen currently holds a diploma on mental health and well-being and is also currently studying for her advanced diploma in Cognitive, behavioural therapy to offer support to staff and students.
THE WELL-BEING TEAM
The Well-being Team was set up to promote the importance of well-being among both pupils and staff at Eskdale Academy. It consists of an adult team and a team of children who meet regularly to discuss ways to promote well-being across the school. Together, we are working towards achieving a Well-being Award for the school.
STAFF WELL-BEING
At Eskdale Academy, we believe that good staff wellbeing is essential for cultivating a mentally healthy school, for motivating staff and for promoting pupil wellbeing and attainment.
As in all schools, our staff juggle a multitude of different tasks and demands so it is vital that we provide the right emotional and practical support so that they can, in turn, support their pupils. As a school, we place great emphasis on maintaining a work-life balance and strive to reduce the pressures that come with the job. However, we know that there are times when staff may need a little extra support.
Below are some links to useful websites, reading material and support groups that our staff may find useful should they need some support with their own mental wellbeing.
