OFSTED REPORTS

OFSTED - April 2022
Eskdale Academy is an inclusive, welcoming school. Pupils are very happy in this nurturing school. Leaders have worked successfully to create a rich learning environment which stimulates and excites pupils. Pupils are proud of their school.
Leaders and staff have high expectations of pupils. They want pupils to thrive. Pupils’ personal development and safety is central to the curriculum design. At the same time, leaders want pupils to achieve well academically. Staff work as a united team to help pupils to succeed.
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. "We report directly to Parliament and we are independent and impartial. We inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
Every week, we carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits throughout England, and publish the results on our website. To find an inspection report, go to the Find an inspection report page. We work with providers which are not yet good to promote their improvement, monitoring their progress and sharing with them the best practice we find". -
PARENT VIEW
Welcome to Ofsted Parent View
Ofsted Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think of your child’s school, including:
-
- how happy your child is at the school
-
- how the school manages bullying or challenging behaviour
If your child has special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), we will ask how well the school supports them.
The questionnaire can be completed at any time - you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.
We will use your responses to help us plan inspections. The information you provide can:
-
- inform discussions inspectors have with school leaders during an inspection
-
- help Ofsted decide when to inspect a school
-
In addition to this, we also publish the overall summary of the responses to Ofsted Parent View. This information is anonymised.
If your child attends a maintained nursery, please read more about how to respond to the questionnaire here.
Click ‘Give your views now’ to register and complete a survey to help your child’s school improve.
