World Book Day 2017
During World Book Day children enjoyed learning about the classic text: Treasure Island. Pupils were involved in a range of activities to learn more about the plot, characters and vocabulary in the text and enjoyed a shared read of this swashbuckling tale of adventure! Pupils were involved in both writing and fancy dress competitions; they also participated in a range of exciting activities across the school. A huge thank you to all pupils, parents and carers for the time and effort with costumes. We all had a wonderful day!
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we encouraged all children and staff to dress up as their favourite book character or author. Prizes were awarded for the most original and creative fancy dress costumes.
Take a look at some of the costumes.
