September Reopening - Letter to Parents
Updated: Jul 17
Please find detailed below some very important information regarding the end of term and beginning of next term.
Following on from last week’s Government announcement, School will reopen fully (nursery to Year 6) from the 1st September 2020.
It has made been made clear, that Schooling returns to being compulsory from September and therefore all children should return.
As it stands, we need to plan to maintain some social-distancing measures – including staggered start times, lunch times and finish times as well as the continued high level of hygiene and cleanliness throughout School. See the start and end times below for each class and the attached map showing collection and drop off points.
‘Getting to know you again!’
The topic of the first term for all children across School will be ‘Getting to Know you again’… a chance for all staff to determine what gaps children have developed in their learning whilst allowing children to receive the pastoral support to settle back into School.
Breakfast Club and ASC
Breakfast club and After School Club will continue to operate as before lockdown. Breakfast club will start at 8am meanwhile ASC will operate until 5.15pm and cost £3.00.
As a school, our expectations are extremely high. Therefore, we expect every child to once again start attending school in the correct uniform at all times.
· White Polo T-shirt
· Royal blue jumper/cardigan
· Grey/Black trousers/skirt
· Black school shoes (no trainers of any description)
· Black blazer and ties for Year 5/6
· Ties for KS2
PE is a statutory subject and will be taught twice throughout the week. All children (reception to Year 6) PE kits will be provided by school with your child’s name clearly labelled and will be washed after each session at school. You will need to provide black gym shoes.
If your child has earrings, it is imperative for your child’s own safety that they are removed before the PE session. Staff cannot remove earrings or cover them up with plasters so please ensure your child can do this independently.
School lunches will continue to be £2.10 in the new academic year. Could parents please keep up to date with payments to avoid large bills being ran up.
