A string of celebrities including Joe Wicks, Carol Vorderman and David Walliams are helping parents turn their homes into classrooms by lending their skills to the nation during the coronavirus pandemic.
Parents across the UK have suddenly found themselves having to homeschool their kids - but they're not alone! As schools across the nation close their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, and as the UK goes into lockdown, celebs are turning into teachers. A string of famous faces are helping out by launching daily lessons on their social media accounts to help keep the little ones entertained and educated until they can go back to school.
Here's a run-down of the celebrity lessons you can enroll your kids in...
PE with Joe Wicks The Body Coach Joe Wicks is getting kids moving with his home PE lessons. Joe announced last week he'd be leading daily 30-minute classes, and thousands of people have already been joining in.
You can take part by heading to The Body Coach TV on YouTube. Joe is running the workout sessions Monday to Friday from 9am.
The fitness guru said on Twitter : "Don't worry, I've got you. I'm going to take this over. "I'm going to get your kids moving, feeling energised, positive, optimistic. "So tune in Monday morning at 9am and every day."
Maths with Carol Vorderman Countdown legend and all round maths whizz Carol has launched daily classes for schoolchildren.
Carol announced yesterday that she was making her online maths school, The Maths Factor, free for children aged four to 12 until schools reopen. Carol Vorderman has made her online maths lessons free for kids http://themathsfactor.com
"I want to help so it's now FREE for children age 4-11 until schools open. "We're uploading massive server capabilities, pls bear with us. With all my love" Carol also said she hoped parents would learn from her lessons too.
Dancing with Dianne Buswell Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell is bidding to get people off their sofa and cha-cha-chaing around their living rooms. The dancer has started posting free tutorials on her Instagram account alongside her boyfriend Joe Sugg, who she met when they were partnered together on the BBC show. Music with Myleene Klass Former Hear'Say star Myleene is passing on her musical skills to the next generation. The talented singer and pianist has launched her very own Myleene's Music Klass YouTube channel - see what she did there?
With the help of her daughters Hero and Ava, the star is vowing to teach the nation's children about music with daily videos, including lessons in reading music and learning how to play your name.
Announcing her lesson plan, she posted on Instagram : "Music has always been seen as one of the ‘softer subjects’ but now, it’s what seems to be soothing people’s minds and souls. "I am at home with my own children continuing their music lessons as I’ve been teaching them since they were 4yo. Story Time with David Walliams Britain's Got Talent star and children's author David is lending a hand to story time. The former Little Britain star has vowed to release a free audio story every day for the next 30 days, reading out stories including his own book The Terrible Triplets. David is reading stories for kids He posted on Instagram: "All those stuck at home with their kids may be able to relate to ‘The World’s Worst Children’!
