Article of the Week – GRT History Month
June is Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller History Month. Through celebration, education and raising awareness, it helps tackle prejudice, challenge myths, and amplify the voices of Gypsies, Roma, and Travellers in wider society.
Explore the activities in our latest pack to help your pupils learn more about the history of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people and communities and explore the links with Article 2 (non-discrimination), Article 8 (protection and preservation of identity) and Article 30 (children from minority or indigenous groups). You can also explore the idea of home and what makes a home, which is the theme of this year’s history month.
