We are a fully inclusive school with an additionally resourced provision, which supports children with speech and language needs. At Eskdale Academy we have a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment and a dedicated and talented staff, who are committed to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential through the delivery of stimulating and exciting learning experiences.

At Eskdale Academy we recognise that every child is unique and we are committed in developing fully the talents and interests of each child at our school. We are extremely proud of all of our respectful, caring and talented children.

AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS

Science

Eskdale Academy achieved the Primary Science Quality Mark. The PSQM is a primary science school improvement programme that raises the standard of teaching and learning in primary science through improving the practice of the science subject leader.

Art

Eskdale have achieved Silver Artsmark Award 2024.

Music

Eskdale Academy have become a Music Mark School Member.

Our dedication to offering and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum is both welcomed and celebrated. We were nominated, and supported financially by Tees Valley Music Service.

PE

Eskdale Academy have been awarded the Gold Mark in the Sainsbury’s School Games. The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of participation and competition across their school and into the community.

PE

The Youth Sport Trust Gold quality mark is a nationally recognised badge of excellence for PE & School sport.

Amongst other criteria, it acknowledges the way PE & school sport is embedded throughout the school and the impact it has on the personal development of our pupils.

RE

We are also working towards a bronze REQM Award. The REQM acknowledges and celebrates outstanding RE.

Eco

Eskdale Academy hold the Eco school Silver Award. This means we are 80% of the way to achieving the Eco Green flag Award.

The Eco-Schools Green Flag is the perfect way to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the ecological achievements of young people

RRSA

The Gold Rights Respecting award is the third stage of the Rights Respecting Schools Award. It is granted by UNICEF UK to schools that have fully embedded children’s rights throughout the school in its policies, practice and ethos, as outlined in the RRSA Strands and Outcomes.

Wellbeing

Eskdale Academy have been awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools, a National standard for positive mental health and wellbeing.

Equality

We are currently working towards our EQualities Gold Award.
The Equalities Award provides support and guidance for schools to effectively promote equality, diversity and inclusion and allows schools to showcase their commitment to equality.
